The paint on the ceiling appears to be ballooning but I'm not sure if that is the proper name for what is happening. I need to let the landlord know about it and I want to be as accurate as possible.

i have a question about the shelf life on a couple of common products.

do the Brita filters ever expire? there is a sale for a three pack and it would take 6 monthes to go through that many.

also, SciDiet dog food. How long does a 30 or 40lb bag last?

I had a set of absorbent stone coasters that worked fantastic, but the design was molded into the face, and there was no paint. I would like a new set, and have found many with interesting designs, but I have doubts as to the absorbency of a coaster with a layer of paint on it. Wouldn't the moisture pool up on the paint?

We are building a house and considering a tankless water heater. We have heard both good and bad about them. Any thoughts on the matter?

We are building a home and want a mirrored backsplash in the kitchen. My cabinets are dark brown. Has anyone seen the mirrored bronze (copper) backspash? I am debating if I should pick that color or just a plain mirror. The grey smoked color doesn't look right.

I am moving into my first house in a week and my parents have given my husband and I a couch. It is about 5 years old and although it has never really been used it has spent the last year outside in a screened room. Dirt has blown in and the couch is filthy. The cushions unzip easily. Should I put them in my washer and with what? What should I clean the reast of the couch with and how?

If I am a HOA member in good standing and the HOA is unfairly applying the CCRs can I do anything? They send me notices and fines for things that the board members themselves are in violation of. The HOA is out of control.

Please Assume that the members cannot be voted off and they have indemnity clauses in the HOA contract.

I was reading that it is about 1/2 the cost to have an existing deadbolt rekeyed instead of replacing it. Can any deadbolt be rekeyed and is this an adequate solution instead of having it replaced?

Thank you.

I find that the fixings for a new integrated washing machine door hinges are at a
different position from the old one.
This means that the new 35mm dia sinkings in the cabinet door will foul the
old ones - - just overlap so
we cant drill for or fix the new hinges unless we fill the old sinkings
Q. Where can we get 4 x 35mm wood discs to fill the old sinkings ? We cant
redrill the metal machine casing - to thin to hold.
