Hi,
We will be selling our house soon and potential buyers will come to see the house. I want it to smell nice but not too strong. Are those airwick plug-ins too strong?

I know you can put cinnamon sticks and lemon wedges on the stove etc.. however I won't be here for a period of one to two weeks so what can I do to keep the house smelling nice. Would you recommend a leaving a bit of pine sol in the toilet?? My husband will be here so he can do something.
Joanne

In previous years I put coffee grounds on them-I don't know if that helps or not....The bees are out in force pollinating the blooms-Is that good ?....Oh, yeah -how do i keep the ducks from stealing them when they get ripe? My family and I seem to have inherited a rabbit from somewhere nearby, and now that it's spring it has started to nibble away at the tulips as they come up. Any suggestions on how to keep it away from the garden, or perhaps trap it somehow?

I live in Northern California were we have mild winters and hot summers. I have had a Honeysuckle bush which has flourished in size over the past 2 years, but has never blossomed the entire time I have had it. It is supposed to get orange blossoms. Is this a common problem with honeysuckles? any ideas why it is not blooming?

With all due sympathy to the people in the Northeast, it's 78 degrees and sunny here in south Texas. I love hanging my laundry on the line when the weather is this nice. I just took down a load of sheets and they smell wonderful!
But while I was out there, one of my neighbors came out and said it makes the whole neighborhood look trashy. (In the back yard??) But she's kind of a crackpot; of course I'm not going to pay any attention to her.
Yet it started me thinking: Does anybody else still do this by choice? If so, where are you?

Okay today the second day of using the LG washer I notice where the water goes in thru the main wash area (you know where you add the detergent) that there is gathering some splattering of black spots that look like oil or ink. I know it is not coming from the water in my home because there were no problems of oil or ink in my old top loader washer.
I'm wondering if there is something the water is traveling over in this model that is flowing thru it's channels.
I hope it never make it to my clothes.

I've now seen 2 reports of this on a TV consumer program, but they don't say exactly what causes it. The reports related to groups of new-builds in 2 housing estates in UK.
Apparently the developers say it is due to the residents not using enough water to keep the pipework flushed (which is obviously denied by the residents). The other reason they gave is high levels of phosphates in the water reacting with the copper, but it sounded like the water company & independant tests proved otherwise. Some residents have had to have all their pipework replaced to resolve it - but they don't say why.
Does anyone out there know what really might be causing it, because I don't like a mystery!
I always thought copper-pipe was a long-proven safe material for water transport, and it would only start to oxidize in the presence of lots of oxygen (eg the pipes were run-dry/airlocked)?

Once a plunger is used what is the best way to clean it and then store it next to the toilet? I say spray it with or dunk it in bleach. But then what do you put it on/in? I don't really want to just put it in a plastic bag. What are you suggestions?

I just bought a new bed frame and my existing boxspring and mattress looks incomplete on it, as the headboard is at least 6' tall.
What sort of things can I add to the bed to make the mattress higher?
I personally am a fan of beds you have to jump up on to reach, so the higher, the better.

Thanks
