I just bought a new bed frame and my existing boxspring and mattress looks incomplete on it, as the headboard is at least 6' tall.
What sort of things can I add to the bed to make the mattress higher?
I personally am a fan of beds you have to jump up on to reach, so the higher, the better.

Thanks

You could add another box spring, or another mattress. Otherwise, you're going to need a different frame.

I think stilts would do it,
you'd need 2 pairs, pretty strong ones... made out of a hardwood.
To join them to the bed, turn it on its side, and you'll need some 'fish plates'.
Basically a way of joining stilts to the bed legs.
Probably you will need to cross brace all the legs to make the structure stronger.
Hey presto!
It's a bed that will be so tall, I don't actually know how you'll get on there.
Maybe a trampoline or a ladder.

I*ve seen (in catalogs) some little round things that you put under the feet of a bed to raise it 6 inches, so yu can store things under the bed. Mayhbe you could double them and raise your bed a foot. I would try Google, and type in Bed Raisers, see if yu get a kick back on it.

Maybe you could purchase an additional box spring to put under your main mattress? That might boost things up a bit.

Try "Stacks and Stacks" bed riser, bed elevator and bed frame risers. They offer a selection of affordable bed risers that will meet your needs whether you are looking for a romantic high bed setting or are seeking the health benefits of a partially elevated bed.

Today's matresses are much thicker than the ones in previous years. If your matress is 10 years old or older, it's time to replace it. Pillowtops are nice as are the memory foam ones.

Put another mattress on it. That's what I did. Nothing says you have to limit yourself to just one!
