I don't want to harm the animal, just get rid of it. bait or methods of scaring it away.

call animal control or toss a cup of mixed bleach and amonia in the can and run the critter will too add a little ammonia to each trash can before dark each week it drives the critters out also try this place a brick or cinder block on the top of each can my neighbors have a racoon family and they cant pulloff the blocks so no food source no critters

Judy is a person after my own heart. She is correct. If that fails,I have eaten possum and coon. Look at it as a meal on the hoof. I will give cooking instructions if needed. Not a joke either. You might be surprised at how well it tastes

Put moth balls in it. They don't like the smell. Bleach will also work. If all else fails call animal control.

Please call the animal services in your area. It may be that it was just using your can for the winter; however, you cannot be sure of this! Therefore, call someone who can deal with a rabbid animal...just in case!!

raccoons do that too get a geese to scare him off !!
