I am buying a really wooded 2 acre lot, and we are pl;anning to build a house in there. I am planning to sod around the house and leave as is te rest since is really big lot. Is there any suggestion on maitenance or ideas what to do in that big lot

That would depend on the native wildlife in your area. I am sure you do not want snakes and racoons in your immidiate living area. You may want to keep the undergrowth cut down to make the area less of a hiding/residential area for pests. Racoons are known for contracting rabies.

make sure you spray for termites!!! they can ruin your trees and your home if they invade! We have pine trees around our house and we keep them treated so they wont eat our house.
