That's a tall bill.

Mine was built pest free too. We sealed, caulked and made sure there were no entry points when we built it 5 years ago. A bug couldn't have gotten it's leg in any crack, anywhere.

Well, mice have made their way in somewhere. We can't find where. Bugs and spiders are all over the place. They just get in. You open the door and they innocently crawl in, fly in, hop in. You know, the ocassional bee or wasp gets in, fruit fly eggs are on fruit and hatch out if it's not eaten soon enough. The bugs are ingenious at getting in. This is their planet too and we just have to put up with them. I refuse to use pesticides. As long as they are not biting me, I'm fine. I do catch spiders under a glass and slip a paper under and take them back outside. Sometimes spiders get vacuumed up by accident, but for the most part, the bugs, flying, crawling, hopping, find their home in my home. There aren't ever many, just seasonal but they find their way in no matter what you do.

I don't know if you are aware, but the bee population in the US is decimated. The only finger pointing is going after a pesticide used on outdoor crops. It is confusing the bees and they are not returning to the hive and dying at an alarming rate. Without bees to pollinate our crops, within just a few short years, there will be no fruit, flowers, vegetables for any man or animal to eat. You can only guess what that spells.

I don't believe it's possible. Did you see Creepshow?

Bottom line is if the homeowners are not tidy pests will come. It is impossible to build a home that will prevent any animals other than humans from entering.

I can't tell you how, but I know that the dirt where the house will be built has to be treated. they call it "killing" the earth or dirt. pests can still get into the home, but not as many. call an exterminator to see if they can help. you probably don't have the equipment to do it yourself or the know-how.
