I Have tried to replaced the old shower mixer with hot and cold that had broken, but when I breake the tile, the base of the existing shower mixer is rusty. I have the new mixer, but I have no idea how to fit the the new one without breaking the entire wall, because there is no enough space to fit the hot and cold and to the shower side pipe and also no way to fit the treaded pipe to the treaded shower mixer

for the guest room there's an A.C. unit (Carrier) up on the roof, when i turn on the A.C. i get a smell from the unit ducts that's like a load of sewage and also in the bathroom because it's connected to it. Same thing for the rooms upstairs. The house is new so i doubt the ducts need cleaning.

What is the best way of doing this? I want to stabilize a cheap plastic shelf that is bending in at the top. I want to put a thin piece of board under the plastic and metal screws down into the wood.

1) what kind of wood should I use?
2) do I need other items like washers or use a wood screw only?

I just moved into a new apartment, and have a gas stove. I've lived my whole life with electric, so it's pretty new to me. I went to cook something in the oven last night, and when I first turned set it to 350, the flame underneath came on just fine. But when I was checking on my food, I noticed that the flame had gone off. Is this dangerous? I was always under the impression that if it was on, but there was no flame, that dangerous gas was just being pumped into the kitchen. Please note that this is the oven part, not any of the burners on the actual stovetop.

Where we live, the deer wander freely, tasting all the plants and flowers, and eating the ones they like. Hanging baskets are Ok because they can't reach. I would like a few flowering plants in the yard which cascade down, like the ones in a hanging basket. I would like to put them in pots on tables, etc. Any ideas for plants that deer won't eat?

I want to hang a flat-backed ceramic figure on the back of the house on the stucco wall around the chimney. In front, I want to move the house numbers from the post where they are obscured by wisteria vines, to the side of the garage door. Should I use an adhesive? Screws? Hire someone to stand there and hold it?

I have installed entry doors, worked with drywall, done electrical work, and now am attempting to install a garage door. I have never done anything with a garage door and I have a person who wants me to install one for them. I would have to take the whole door off and replace it with a brand new one. I do not want to charge them too much, but still do not want to charge less then it's worth.

Does anyone know of any daisy-like flowers that grow well in partial shade to shade? I don't even mean daisies exclusively; I'm even looking for flowers that resemble daisies.
Thanks! :)

I have checked every fabric store I've seen but the fabrics end up to be quilting fabrics or curtain/ felt/other materials. And I check websites but I can't feel the fabric so I don't know if that's what I want.
Any tips?
And any tips about what to look for? I think most of my clothes that I like the texture of are cotton/polyester/blends, I think,?

Thanks =)

I work at a daycare and we have a tree covered in caterpillar nests. I decided to save some that were close to death (aka being stepped on by two year olds). I brought about 25 home in a large plastic box with leaves, grass and sticks. I read up and researched that they are eastern tent caterpillars. Should I just put them in a tree and see what happens, or should I put them back where I got them? Or, should I keep them in the plastic box?

I am going to be selling my home soon. When you are shopping for homes, do you pay a lot of attention to the colors of the walls, or do you figure that you will be painting them your own colors anyway? The reason I ask, my husband wants to repaint the entire house before we sell, and I think it is fine. The kitchen is a little dark, a taupe color, and our bedroom is an army green color. Should we repaint in lighter colors??
