Besides the fact that they will draw children because their bright colors, they are great for aphid control. Aphids are what they live on and if you have aphids, Ladybugs should be your new best friend. You can purchase them (usually sold in most gardening stores) in batches of around 1000 for under $5. I buy them a few times a year mainly because I feel sorry for them in that package, but I know I am doing my garden a favor. Good luck!

Ladybugs are good for getting rid of problem pests such as aphids & greenfly which often feed on roses and other delicate plants/shrubs.

Their larval state is the stage when they eat aphids. You would hardly recognize them as larvae. Body is mostly black with red spots, abdomen is roughly triangular. Marvelous little predators. FYI the adults do not bite.

Well goodness....I use to get sooooo mad when I vaccumed up a million of those suckers from behind my couch every other day....thinking how in the heck did they get in here!
If their eating all those other bugs....I guess I'll put a welcome sign out!!!
