I have a flowerbed that wraps around the majority of my house. We plan to plant it full of flowers in a few weeks. We are curious to know what type of nice purple and/or yellow flowers would thrive in Kentucky this time of year.

I am an at home mom... and am struggling with housework. When I was a working mom, things got done becuse they had to... I was always rushing around and most things were done. Now I have lots of time but don't know what I do with it. I am very active with my 2 1/2 year old, coloring, reading, playing... Before I realize, the day is over... I need to be more successful with housework.

Do you have a set schedule? Shortcuts or easy ways to get things done? Hired help is not an option here! LOL

Some suppliers say it is not necessary to stain or seal an ironwood deck because the material is so dense that it weathers well, stain or no stain. Certainly, my first application of Australian timber oil was useless. I like the look of a silvery, weathered deck, so if it's not necessary to stain or seal my deck, I'd rather not.

It's the kind you get at Home Depot that comes on a roll and is applied with soap and water. I've tried a bunch of things but it comes off like a stubborn price tag-it leaves remenence. I tried razor blade but still only tiny peaces at a time.

I have a climbing yellow rose bush, I believe it was called "Golden Showers", that I have had for almost 4 years. Last year it got blackspot. It is starting to fill in again with leaves & it looks like the spots are gone. All the leaves seem to be free of any blemishes. How do I prevent it from coming back again before it starts. According to the USDA map I live in Zone 6.
