No. Pansies do not reseed. But if you want a similar looking flower and it is also related to the pansy, Violas, or the nickname used, Johnny Jump-ups. I plant more and more every year. They will reseed themselves and will start springing up everywhere. Mine tend to come up in my rock gardens, and walkways, and they just continue reseeding themselves and will generally be the last flowers to go to sleep before winter comes. It generally takes several hard frosts before they finally decide to sleep for the winter. And they are the first ones to pop up in the spring.

They look exactly like a pansy but not as big and don't have as many colors to choose from, but they do have a lovely scent to them. I always look forward to their arrival every spring.

Pansies are an annual. Some may come back if you didnt cut them down in the fall and by chance they did reseed. Pansy seed is very small but they will reseed. Dont count on it though. Go buy a flat of pansies. If they did reseed, they may bloom just a bit earlier than when you put them in. They are very hardy and frost resistant. Dont depend on reseeding though.

YES PANSY'S RESEED AND COME BACK.WHEN THEY START GETTING LEGGY,TRIM THEM BACK,AND IN A COUPLE WEEKS THEY WILL BLOOM AGAIN,AND LOOK BUSHY AND HEALTHY. THEY DON'T LIKE THE HOT SUN. PARTIAL SHADE IS BEST FOR THEM.THEY LIKE LOTS OF WATER AND GOOD DRAINAGE. WHEN YOU DEAD HEAD THEM PUT THE DEAD FLOWER NEXT TO THE PLANT ITSELF,AND IT WILL GROW NEW PLANTS FOR YOU.DEAD HEADING THEM IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THEM BLOOMING
