We purchased a home in February and there is a large shrub out there right now that I am considering removing. It's probably 5 feet high now. It has long woody branches, Red berries not round, but oblong and when I trimmed some of it, The flesh/wood was very yellow. I don't know the leaves as it has not been warm enough to grow yet but this bush is in the middle of our yard and keeps scratching us and the dogs while we are out there. But i do not want to destroy it unless I know what it is first. We are in MN if that matters.

My son is potty trained, but at night, instead of getting out of bed to sit on his potty chair, he stands at the edge of his bed and pees onto his carpet. Also, he does this if he is busy playing and does not want to bother with a bathroom trip. How can I get the smell out? We own a steam vac, but it doesnt completly work, and it's driving us crazy. Plus he shares a room with the baby, so this is not good. any ideas?

I don't know what to think now! He claims the poison eats them from the inside out and I won't smell a thing, please give me some guidance! Or tips or something!!

I need to buy a saw to cut small branches 2" to 4" for making rustic garden furniture. The saw would also be used for cutting treated wood of various sizes but mostly 4"x 2". I have arthritis in my hands and need some advise, would I be better to buy an all purpose electric saw or an electric chain saw. The prices of both saw would be at the lower end around £75. Has anyone used both types of saw and which would you advise me to buy.

The border/flower bed in question is at the bottom of the garden, at the bottom of an incline that runs from an old railway bank 150 yards up the road. The border already has a few small but mature trees and a couple of shrubs. There also a cover that I believe is a drain right in the middle of the bed. all the rain seems to end up here and it's very heavy soil below the surface with lots and lots of roots.

I have thought about adding further topsoil to raise it a little, would this work and can I cover the drain cover?

How do I lift the grass and add a few inches of dirt under it? It only need to be done in some spots. There's a big drop off the driveway and a few other random spots that collect water. Do I need a special kind of shovel? Or would it be better to add dirt and seed and wait for the grass to come through?

I believe the previous tenant smoked in my mom's new apartment as it reeks terribly! I had the landlord replace all the carpet and they did repaint, but I'm guessing that they didn't clean the walls first or use a sealant like Kilz because we can still smell the smoke. Will it help to clean the walls ourselves despite the new coat of paint or should we just repaint using a sealant? Anything else we should consider deodorizing that may help?
