First of all, you need to get rid of all standing water - plant saucers, flower pots, cans or whatnot. If you have a bird bath, just make sure to totally clean it out and add fresh water every few days.

To kill the little biters, just put some water in a white dinner plate and add just a few drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dish detergent. Set the dish on your porch, patio, or other outdoor area. Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, or the white plate, but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the Lemon Fresh Joy/water mixture, and usually within about 10 feet of the plate.
I use several disposable white plastic plates and set them around in shady areas.... I was shocked by the amount of dead mozzies. :o)

When you're sitting outside of a night, you can also aim a fan at the area. Mosquitos are too small to fight the "wind".

Avon's Skin So Soft , used as a bathoil or smoothed on after a shower, will also keep them away - they hate the smell.

I hope this helps.... Good Luck !

You can encompass your backyard with tiki torches, they are those torches approximately five-6 ft lengthy that you simply positioned to your backyard and the chemical within the wax or wick (relying at the one you get) repels all bugs. You too can simply get candles with Citronella (worm repellant) in it and so they do the identical. But if you do not desire to spend cash, you'll be able to get an app (on iPhone or iPod) referred to as Mosquito Repellant and I was once amazed to mention it really works good. You set it to twenty hz and the sound mimics a male mosquito which scares the feminine (blood sucking mosquitoes) away. You simply play it On complete quantity and men and women can not listen it. I have a big patio that surrounds my in-flooring pool. And it did paintings. But all my strategies paintings good, the candles with citronella paintings a small radius of approximately 20 ft. So if you're throughout a desk or on a again deck, you'll be able to positioned that within the center , with the tiki torches you simply encompass the discipline with them. Best of success

#1 thing is to remove any standing water in the vicinity of your home.

I'm not an expert on additional points except for common chemicals, etc. There are pricey mosquito traps etc, but I do not know how effective these are.
