i have a ge refrigerator that the freezer part part feels more like the refrigerator.it has frost in the back panel and will not freeze enough to make ice.ihad it on 5 before this started and now its on 8 and it feels the same.i cleaned out the back of it. is there something else i can try.please help before i shell ouy alot of money.

I would put low freon on the bottom of you list.Check for these problems first.
1.Evaporator Fan is working properly.
2.It could be a defrost problem,in this case you would need to make sure that the defrost element,defrost timer and defrost thermostat are working properly.

You could be low on refrigerant or the automatic defrost is not working. In the latter case the coils will freeze preventing air circulation in the freezer. Either way it looks like a repairman is needed

Sounds like it is low on freon. It will freeze a small portion of the coil but not enough freon to freeze the entire coil. If the entire coil is not frosted it will not get cold enough in the freezer section.
