You need (50x30x2)/12 or 250 cubic feet. You will need a truck to deliver 10 cubic yards of sand

Footnote. What What What has given you calculations for a sand pad 2 FEET deep not 2 inches deep as you requested.

50x30=1500squarefeet x 2 = 3000 cubic feet of sand

3000/27 (there are27 cubic feet in a cubic yard) = 111.11 cubic yrds.

Dry sand has a density of 100 pounds/cubic foot

1 ton = 2000 pounds
2000 pounds / 100 pounds/cubic foot = 20 cubic foot
20 cubic foot / 27 = 0.74 cubic yard

So 1 ton is about 3/4 of a cubic yard (.75 cubic yard)

.75 x 111.11 = 83.3325 tons of dry sand.

You can guestimate that its going to cost you around $60 a ton to get the sand delivered. Usually it can run half as much for wet sand. The cost of the sand can run about a guestimate of $25 a ton. I would open this up to a contract bid. I might be way off on the cost, because of the area that I am from. Places charge different prices for these things. Bids are a good and fair way to go.

First off, it's not going to come in sand bags.
You're gonna need a pick-up truck. Or have
it delivered by dump truck. Call the place and ask.
You'll need about 30 yards.
