So I'm tired of messing around with sub-par household cleaners, I'd like to know if there are any absolutely fantastic ones out there. Ones that just blow all the others away. I'd be interested in hearing suggestions on ones from all different categories, such as......

Cleaning baths
floors
carpets
tile grout
plastic
dishes
rust stains
metal fixtures
concrete
greasy hands
cars & rims
vinyl siding
windows
etc.

My favorite types are super industrial strength ones that you can just spray on and wash off.

So if you know of any fantastic cleaners that really stand out from the rest, I would love to know about them.

I have cracks in my concrete basement walls that are diagonal and form almost the letter "v" to the bottom corners of my basement. I was told by a fella who used to build houses that the "footing has slipped" in two areas at the corners. No water seeps through but slight moisture does form in areas of the cracks that are at the outside ground level. I'm in North Central Missouri what are the steps I need to be assured are done and the cost involved to fix this. I want to reside my house and am ready to replace a few windows and was told this needs to be fixed first. Thanks for your SINCERE reply.

I just moved into a new home and I have noticed a foul odor from the bathroom. We do not have a septic tank and we use city sewers. It smells as if someone has farted, or rotten eggs. I am not sure where it is coming from and seems to come and go.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!! I am concerned if it sewer odors that will spell more problems, or possibly kill us.

WHAT IS IT, AND WHAT SHOULD I DO TO TAKE CARE OF IT?

Serious answers only preferably ... no opinions, just answers from plumbers or people that have had this problem.

We have a lot of snow and ice on our roof--about 4 feet of snow and 2 inches of ice at the base. I've tried shovelling it, hoping it would just slide off, but no. The ice is frozen around the screw heads and it won't budge. Is there an easier way of doing this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased a house in Mexico that has an open floor plan. Kitchen and living space open with a partial rock wall defining the dining area off the living room. Builder used lots of brick, stone, (set in gray cement) and huge wooden beams over the counter separating the kitchen and living room.(I have hung my stem glasses on lattice, attatched to the beams, and an iron hanging pot rack from the beams) The ceilings are very high coming to a pitched point at the top as the house previously had a palapa (palm leaf) roof The color now is a dark taupe and all walls are a swirly, pitted, bumpy cement finish. As it is now..it appears dark and dirty even with the high ceiling and lots of windows covered with black wrought iron on the outside. The use of sooo many different elements, red brick, stone (yellows, grays, beiges, they are actually big flat rocks!), wooden beams, stones framing the doors and the partial wall ..all stone..make it a definate challenge! Any and all ideas..WELCOME Thank U

In the furthest room in my house, the air trickles out of the register. So I want to install an inline duct fan to boost the air supply to that room. How do I get the fan to come on at the same time as the blower motor in the furnace turns on

I put them in the washer once....I just got them out and they're still stinky. Plus the dark stains didn't come out completely. They are Puma sneakers, about 1 year old, and they're suede.

Thanks!

If I dust my house, the next day it was as if I never dusted. Anything I can do to help this? I change the filters in the furnace and I just don't see why this place gets so much dust. We just rent, and let me tell you, I have "never" experienced this much dust in my life! Go away bad dust!

This past October we got hit with a freek snow storm and our area lost thousands of trees. My crabapple tree is slightly damaged . One of the larger limbs is broken off, so should I keep the tree or cut it down? If I leave it it may be very lopsided and may not withstand another storm.

Well, I'm repainting my room right now, and I ran into a slight problem. The last time I painted my room, I painted all of the walls white, and on the last wall, I like splattered the paint on, and whipped the paint at the wall. When I painted over the wall with the white, the bumps from the paint came through on the first coat. What should I do so that these bumps don't show up when I paint the walls my last color?

We just got a new diesel fuel tank and we can't figure out how to wire it up. There was no power cord on it, just a black wire and a white wire but the extentension cord has 3 wires a black wire, a white wire and a green wire. I wired black to black and white to white and left the green one off. When we first turn it on, you can hear a low humming sound but then it stops. Should the green and white wire be wired up to the white wire?
