I want to plant perenials this year but dont know where to start. I'm new at growing flowers outside and want easy to maintain, beautiful, hearty flowers that can withstand the north-west region( pictures and websites would be a plus).

This might sound weird, but which screw is better? If I am building a chair, what determines whether it's a flat head or Phillips. Why do electronic companies mainly use Phillips, and sporting good material use mainly flat heads? Is there a reason for difference. I assume a Phillips gives more torque, but why no abolish the flat head if that were the case. And guidance appreciated. Thanks

I've been told how you place the roots will determine if the branches weep or if they are more upright. Is this true and what is the right way?

I have nematodes in my garden bed and they are playing havoc with my tomatoes, so bad that they didnt get any higher than a stunted 25" and fruited but what a joke that was. I pulled them up and instantly saw the nasty, swollen, short root system and knew it was nematodes. Does anyone know of a safe way to get rid of these that wont cost a fortune from a nursery.

I built a speaker box, but now the last step is to carpet it. I have the materials, but I dont know how to make the corners look the clean. The box is basically a rectangular prism, but the sides are on the outside of the box like a cap. (they are as big as the max dimensions of the box. I say this because most people build their box so their sides are "within" the box, as opposed to mine which are put on the outside and are the last pieces to be glued to the box)

It looks similar to this, minus the sides:

I am NOT carpeting the sides, but painting them to add some contrasting color. So, how do I make the seam between the faces of the box and the sides look nice?

My dad said to just wrap the fabric around the edges so it goes inside the box, then attach the sides. But, I feel that this will compromise the structural integrity of the box. It has to be strong for two 12 inch subwoofers.

I have a wood dining table - cherry finish - and it got a couple of scratches in it the other day. Not real deep but enough that it took off the finish. Is there something I can apply that will help the appearance, fix it or cover up the scratches, something??

I can't figure out how this actually works, what is in it. It reminds me a bit of the scent of clothes after being in the dry cleaners.

I use it on my area rugs after vacuuming (cannot be washed and I dryclean only).

Does anyone understand the science, if there is any, behind this product? Thanks.

I need to paint a wall in a room with latex paint. However some of the other rooms in the house are painted with oil based paint (I know because the latex paint that former owners painted over it is peeling). On the wall I want to paint, is there a way to find out what kind of paint is on it?

I'm sure you can but I'm assuming they will not produce very good trees. If there is a good way, what is it. I'm located in London, UK.

It does not turn off even using the thermostat controls. Further, The burner doesnt have flame, I cant see pilot, and I cant even hear the sound of electric ignition trying to light the pilot.
The only way to switch off the fan is by mains.
