No it´s not dumb at all , we all have to start some where . Well you could by a cloth special for floor´s but if you have an old cotton T-shirt that will do . With hot water a little floor cleaner and wash . you´ll have to get down on your knees, put something under you knees so they don´t get sore.

The best way is using something like 409 or Mr. Clean all purpose cleaner and getting on your hands and knees. It works well and doesn't really take that long for small bathrooms. I do it every week for one of my bathrooms. A more thorough cleaning would be to use soft scrub gel bleach, you'll need to use that, then use one of the other cleaners to make it shine.

Sorry, the old fashioned way.

Bucket of hottest water available with some cleaning solution that is antibacterial, little cotton rag, rubber gloves and v. good knee pads.

Only takes 5 minutes and you floor will be v. clean. For quick clean ups between the above, just use a swifter and my own cleaning solution.

visualize the old Irish scrubwoman of song, her wide fanny
in the air, knees on the floor, elbows near parallel with the
floor , oaken bucket of soap and suds off to one side, arms
moving in a circular and/or sideways motion, whistling and
singing to her hearts content. All this whilst butterflies and
chubby little birds fluttered around her head. When you're
finished, you'd be surprised how to mop the kitchen.

I spray 409 spray on the floor, take of my shoes, get down on my hands and knees, and wipe off with several towels.

You could use clorox wipes but I suggest investing in a swiffer. They are easy to use and small for storeage purposes.
