It does not turn off even using the thermostat controls. Further, The burner doesnt have flame, I cant see pilot, and I cant even hear the sound of electric ignition trying to light the pilot.
The only way to switch off the fan is by mains.

Sounds like your high limit switch is bad or there is a problem with the ifc (integrated fan control). There are a number of limit switches in the furnace but my money is on the heat exchager limit. If I knew the brand and model # I could tell you.

Are you aware that some furnaces have a blower motor that does not turn off but continuously moves air around the house, summer & winter. They are the Hi-efficient furnaces with a variabale speed blower motor, no pilot light etc.
Check the furnace for a Brand name and then look for the model and serial number. Contact a dealeer that sells that brand and they can assist

Gas company will not be the one to repair your furnace. They are responsible for the gas line and meter going to your home, the inside and furnace are your responsibility. Sounds like your furnace is having some major issues, more than one and needs to be looked at by a professional.

Call the gas company to come and take a look at it. It sounds like maybe the pilot light blew out or the rollers are going out on the furnace (happened to me last winter, the coldest day of the winter to top it off).

Check your thermostat and blower motor. Also, be sure that your gas is shut off.

1st....do you have homeowners insurance?
If you do, contact them and ask them to send out an A/C repairman....if not, you'll have to call around and see just how much it would cost you to get'em out to your house...$55 - $100

Could be a possibility of several things
