depending on the look you are going for, a soft peach or melon would compliment teal, or a soft silver gray color. i love teal, and would even consider a light sage green, or a soft buttery gold color....i think white would be stark, but as i say, it depends on the look you want..
before you decided, grab some color swatches from the paint store, bring them home, check the color in the daytime as well as at night..

Perhaps painting the walls an off white might work, nit stark white. There are so many shades of white. There are also many pretty shades in Benjamin Moore's historic color collection that could serve as a soothinh backdrop to your teal bed!
