If I dust my house, the next day it was as if I never dusted. Anything I can do to help this? I change the filters in the furnace and I just don't see why this place gets so much dust. We just rent, and let me tell you, I have "never" experienced this much dust in my life! Go away bad dust!

The dust you are cleaning up is probably not your dust. I suspect it is coming from your furnace duct work. They have companies that do duct cleaning, but it can get costly.

Every time the fan on the furnace comes on, some of the dust from the ductwork circulates in your house, settling where it is the most difficult to clean. Isn't this always the way?

Probably previous renters weren't as diligent in changing the furnace filter as you are. What you can do is check the filter frequently, and change often. Sooner or later the dust that is there will cycle through. Or you can see if your landlord will spring for a duct cleaning.

Good luck!

Well if you have pets, that may be why. Also, if the windows and front door aren't sealed properly or are old an outdated, you'll have lots of dirt and dust blowing in when it gets windy. I have this problem big time living in west texas. You may need to ask your landlord about updating the house. Good luck!

Try using anti-static cleaning clothes and cleaning products, eg, windex. Also, wash / damp cloth all curtains, nets and blinds, lampshades, etc, etc. Good Luck!
