I have been checking around the web for inground pools. In particular I was curious about the price. Expecting to see something around 30.000 usd i was shocked to find the prices on poolkits.com. Basically the 10' by 40' lap pool that i'm interested in sells for approximately 5000 usd. However, this is a do-it-yourself pool.

So I guess the real question is will I be able to install this myself or should I hire some people to do it.
Does it require a lot of landscaping around, concrete slabs or alike? I'm not sure I have never had a pool before.

In other words I would just like to know if anyone there has had any experience with these kind of pools and what are the catches and pros. Any answers are appreciated.

I have 2 bathrooms on our 2nd floor that exhaust directly into the attic. The idiots that installed them did not vent them to the outside. I have asked a roofer to install flashing for one 3" vent pipe. Can I run both exhaust fans to this vent or will it just exhaust into the other bathroom? I was thinking of whying the 2 ducts to the roof vent.

I think that the foundation of my house is sinking and I’m looking for some outsider opinions. The door to the back patio is difficult to close—you have to push it into the doorframe, almost. Our basement floor is obviously not even. In my bedroom, where the wall meets the ceiling, there are cracks and gaps. Also in my room, the windows make these very loud cracking sounds as if the house is settling. The bedroom door does the same thing. Our house is thirty years old and we did some renovations in the basement a few years ago. Should I call someone to check all this out, and if so who?
