It'll be very hard to find that, since it's now considered a hazardous material. You can try at various large animal feed stores, or farm supply stores. I'm sure it'll be expensive, if you can find it at all. Best of luck to you.

Careful there, my friend. Creosote contains arsenic and animals should not be rubbing against it. Creosote won't make flies go away.

Farm Supply stores sell a cloth type apparatus that is strung between two posts that you impregnate with a anti-pest liquid. Animals are able to walk under it and rub their backs under it. Mostly used for cattle.

My Grandfather used a few strands of baling wire and several burlap bags soaked in kerosene strong between two posts to do the same thing.

It has been banned in the US and even if you found some you could get arrested for using it!! They make other products for your needs,, just ask at any co-op or feed store

why would you want to? the bridge by my previous home was soaked in it and it smelled absolutely awful. Check with a railroad co., they use it for railroad ties.
