To clean the oven. My reaction was glad I did so that oven cleaner wouldn't get on my hands and make them peel.

I was probably about 7 or 8 and I guess I didn't think anything was weird about it besides they filled up with air because my hands are unually small even to this day.

We wear them on the farm when we're having baby lambs because the mothers don't like weird smells on their babies and they won't keep them if the smell funny so they kept our human smell off the new born lamb...and we our hands didn't get that slimy birth stuff all over them.

I still think of them as just something to keep my hands from getting dirty.

I wore them for a canal-path cleanup when I was like 10 or 11. They're kinda smelly and feel gross, but it's better than touching God knows what that other people have thrown all over. Now I wear them (the yellow kind) when I'm cleaning my betta's fishatarium so I don't get his water on me or my germs on him.

My mom made me wear them while doing dishes since I was like 6 (yellow household). I guess they felt kind of funny at first, but I got used to them after a while.
