We found a house. But we need to give our landlord a 30 day notice to the apartment managment. We wont be staying the whole month here. Do we pay the full amount or do they pro-rate it. Also how do I write our 30 day notice. I have no idea. Any help is great. Thank you in advance.

I think permanent fabric adhesive was used--but was used with a very heavy hand so that the material became saturated. Now the entire hems are as stiff as cardboard---not a pretty look. :(

I am trying to decide between installing a steel vs fiberglass door for my entry door. Also, I only have a little 3 bedroom ranch, not very big at all so I do not want to put something up that will not look good. Would a door with a 3/4 oval glass be ok on that type of house?

For about the last six months we've had problems with out fridge quitting on us. What happens is that it starts making a buzzing sound intermittently. Then the buzzing gets more and more frequent throughout the day until it just cuts off. We can then turn the breaker off that goes to the fridge for a few hours or a day or so, then turn the breaker back on and the fridge works fine again. But it always goes back to quitting in a few days or a week or so. Any idea on what the problem is with it? Thanks in advance!

All my own fault, I'm hoping someone will be kind enough to help me out of trouble. Yesterday I changed my central heating room thermostat and the fused spur that feeds my hot water and heating system. When I went to turn it all back on again the heating worked fine, as did the hot water - for about 2 minutes. The boiler fired up and worked ok, then just stopped. When I checked I found I had forgotten to replace the 13A fuse in the new spur with a 3A one suitable for the boiler. Have I just turned my boiler to toast? I'd also appreciate some tips to locate the component I need to replace and rough prices if possible. Thanks

My husband and I just recently purchased a home - it is a cape cod style, with two bedrooms on the first floor and one on the second floor. I'd like to convert the larger downstairs bedroom into a family room, and it is separated from the current living room by what I believe is likely a load bearing wall. Rather than take down the wall, can I have a space cut in the wall and french doors installed without damaging my home? Also - not including the cost of the doors, what does that type of work run in Northeast Ohio? Thanks to anyone who can help. :)

We have a neighbor raising honey bees that are traveling

around the area in search of water or soon to polinate.

How do we keep these bees from coming on to our lot from

about 100yards from our house and then returning to their

home. We like our neighbors and want to protect the bees

if possible. Our dogs have been bitten along with ourselves.

About a week ago, our outside light went out, so I changed it. When I went to turn the new light on, it worked for about a minute, then went out. My husband turned the switch off and when he went to take it out of the fixture, the bulb broke in his hands. How do we remove the rest of the bulb from the fixture? And what is causing the light to not work?
