Some researchers have begun to suspect that incense burning may pose some health concerns. Because incense is a slow burn, many believe that it gives off a lot of chemicals such as carbon monoxide, aldehydes, and respirable particles. They are of considerable concern because these particles are both upper respiratory and pulmonary system irritants. This means that they can inflame mucous membranes, and cause asthmatic attacks in sensitive individuals.
Burning incense can also produce sinaldehyde, many different kinds of aldehydes, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acrolein. Both formaldehyde and acrolein are also mucous membrane irritants and acrolein irritates the eyes.
One study indicated that burning incense in your house at least once a week during pregnancy made it more likely that the baby would develop leukemia once your child is born.
There are things that you can do to minimize the health risks posed by incense burning.
* Using a type of incense that is less smoky.
* Don’t burn it for as long.
* Ventilating the room or building once you are done burning the incense

This is an interesting topic, as i work in a preschool and incense was being burned within the foyer. I noticed some of the kids with asthma needing their puffers since this incense was being burned and i also noticed that my pleurisy had come back. I researched the effects of incense and i also asked my doctor, he said incense does have carbon monoxide in it so may eventually cause irritation. I approached the Director and suggested my theories and i was very abruptly spoken to and told that it will still be burnt on days that im not at work. What about the poor kids with asthma? This research is important. The carbon monoxide inflames the lining of the diaphram and lungs, how is that good for kids?

No i do not believe incense sticks are harmful
but
you do not need , to be smoking them all the time .
Try to ration yourself, to maybe one incense stick, per night
Make sure you open your window , after wards ,
and let the fresh air in
ordinary fresh air, is also good for you .
I am sure you will get some wise pundits,
telling you, that you can get some dreadful things
by inhaling incense .
you can get problems, from a lot of ordinary things ,
but taken in moderation,
you are as safe, as you can be on this old polluted planet!
moderation in all things and enjoy what you like!
all best

Well actually it can cause health problems!
Depends where you bought them , if they are a cheap version from the market, or a 99p shop, tests show that:-
The market is flooded with cheap ways to scent the room, by making and selling these items, with CHEAP SYNTHETIC PERFUMES they release TOXINS into the air, that CAN cause headaches, sore throats, and irritate the sinuses and eyes...
BURNING GOOD INCENSE STICKS IS THE SIMPLEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO SCENT, CLEANSE AND ENERGISE YOU LIVING SPACE WITH POSITIVE ENERGY..
EXCELLENT/GOOD INCENSE STICKS ARE BETWEEN £2.99 and £3.99 FOR 5...

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/dOHHk
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.
