we moved into a new house.And i love purple, if i paint my room dark purple will it look beautful or to depressing looking cause how dark i want it.
Should i make it a little lighter??
I have a dark chocolate bed frame with brown comferter. Will dark purple look really nice??or should i got a little bit lighter?

it's not the color that makes a room feel depressing, it's the lighting. purple looks rich with upgraded lighting- try extra lamps or even track lighting. the accent wall across from your bed that you see while lying down might make you happiest and keep the other three walls lavendar to avoid claustrophobia. Try painting an accent wall of dark purple. That will make it stand out and look elegant. I think you will love it, and the contrast will be appealing. You can then accessorize with purple in the other areas of the room to draw the color in.

i think the purple accent wall is a good idea, or why not purple carpet, that would be so cool and really unique, i dont think u could go wrong with purple carpet, maybe an accent wall and a big purple rug

i would go with a light shade of lavender for the walls, then use dark purple and yellow accents. it will go great with your bed frame and you will get lots of purple to stand out.

perhaps must have used a tinted primer before you used your significant colour yet now to not agonize. Your wall will desire yet another coat of paint fantastically the position the stencil became. elementary: only upload yet another coat or 2 the position it truly is significant and the stenciled flora will disappear !!!

I have my bedroom all done in purple and it's really cosy! I don't find it depressing at all! Curtains, bedding, lampshades, rugs,etc--I love it!!! I have dark wood units and bedframe and it looks alright!

Keep it neutral, or use pastels. I actually recommend more of a beige or pecan color.
