Is this linked to more air in the system, and if so, is it cause or effect? Is there anything to be done about it?
Thanks

i am fond of heating just any room that i am using than heating the whole house. i do this to save on my gas bill, not because of saving the planet anyway. but i recently discovered that each time i turn a radiator on, the boiler burns in the same capacity as when the whole house is heated. am i cutting any cost by heaating just a room instead of the whole house

I have recently purchased a multi-unit building, and I plan converting the basement to a coin-op laundry-room for the residents. My question is which kind of machines should I go with? One reason I am particular about a TL is the fact you can gage the size of your load therefore, you will only use as much water as "requested". I dont know if FL have this same feature or not.

Also, I dont know if your typical FL can add clothes to the machine after the cycle has started. This is a feature im sure most can appreciate.

Lastly, given where the fact these machines will be installed in an apartment complex, im sure they wil be used quite often, so durability is a question as well.

I appreciate all thoughts, suggestions, and comments.

I have an old one but someone didn't rinse it off when they got done with it and now it has dried grout on it. I need to find out what is is called so I can see if lowe's or home depot sell them. It looks like what you would put in a mixer in the house except it is really big.

I just bought a gas cooktop and it comes with a "Maxitrol appliance pressure regulator". How ever the instruction did not state very clear. It only said that what do you need to do with it if you want to convert the cooktop to use LP gas(I guess it is propane gas). It did not say whether I need the pressure regulator if I am using the nature gas. My old one when I removed, it did not have the regulator. Now, my question is do I need the regulator or not? If yes, I am having the problem to fit my pipe from the nature gas to the regulator since the opening of the regulator is samller then the pipe from the gas. IF I don't use the regulator then it fits perfectly. Please help. my cooktop is Jeann-air JGD8345.
Thanks

It has been broken for weeks along with many other things. He picked up his rent $ yesterday and fixed everything but the furnace. I have told him for weeks about this, and not it's bitter cold and I can't live with it. Yesterday he said someone was coming to fix it, then 5-6 hours ago he said that he was getting ready to call the repair guy.

If the repairman doens't show up today, what should I do?

My garage door has several problems...it's totally off kilter from 'adjustments' a well-meaning relative did (he almost killed himself in the process!) ....about a third of the door is rotten or has water damage and termite damage (termites are taken care of, now!)...based on this information, is it best to have the rotted sections replaced and the balance reset, or just to go ahead and get a new garage door installed and what would that cost in general?

I have a roof space conversion bedroom. Over the past few weeks the two radiators in the room have been making bubbling noises, now they are warm only at the very base.
Firstly i tried bleeding - no air, no water after 5 minutes.
Then i tried bleeding again, this time with all other radiators in the house turned off. This has helped and the radiators are now just under half full. The situation however does not improve even after 5 minutes with the bleed screw completely out.

I'm not sure what the system is, but i have a cold water tank in the bedroom, a header tank in the bathroom underneath which is the hot water tank. The hot water is provided by a boiler downstairs in the utility room.

A pipe coming out of the hot water tank has a small metal 'box' attached, which i believe to be the central heating pump (?). On the side of this box is a sliding lever (perhaps to increase the speed of the pump?).

I would be grateful for any suggestions, my bedroom is like an ice box!!
