Ive got a Buffalo tools 2000 watt generator, it is having trouble running and it wont generate power, would it be worth to have it repaired or just get another generator? Thanks

Remove the carburetor and make sure everything is spotless clean inside. Any dirt can prevent the engine from operating smoothly. If there is no fuel filter between the tank and carburetor place one inline to prevent further dirt from getting through. Air filter should be clean as well. Check to ensure you are getting sparks at the plug as well. Remember three things needed for fire... Fuel, oxygen, and heat.
On the generator end, check obvious things such as circuit breakers or fuses. If still no output open the case and look for loose or broken wires. Next step, try flashing the coil. With the engine off, plug in an extension cord with the ends bare. Quickly brush the wires across a 12V battery, just enough to cause some sparks. Do not leave them connected or you will likely damage the generator. Disconnect the cord and start the engine to look for output voltage.
I have other tips, safety and operation on my generator web page.

If it's a gass generator it may be as simple as cleaning an air filter or caborator to keep it running, if it's running decent and still not generating any electricity then you may need to clean the brushes anything beyond that would probly be a winding problem and a that point you better off findin a new generator

Sounds like it would be worth repairing, especially if you can fix it yourself,if you can't get an estimate and go from there...
