My kitchen has kind of evolved in to a diner style (i.e. run out of money) any suggestions out there. thanks

One of those old "lazy susans" that sat on the kitchen table with the salt, pepper, napkins etc. on - people didnt have a lot of cupboards then and condiments were kept on kitchen table.

Also, one of those old breadboxes looks neat - non-electric can opener on wall - toaster cover - big vase or jar on counter with all your tools in, such as egg-flipper etc.....

I think a fifties kitchen looks so friendly..... not like these ugly all steel kitchens that are spotless and no ambiance!

Hit your local thrift stores, consignment stores, garage sales etc... Even antique stores- they will more than likely have SOMETHING from a 50's style kitchen you can use!!!Or post a "wanted" on this web site and see if anyone has something to give away-www.freecycle.com

Sure, an open top washing machine with a mangle and scrubbing board. with matching spin dryer.

how about a mangle...my nan had one in the 50s...or balck and white tiles....
