This is a serious question, and I don't intend for this to be taken as perverted. I keep getting orange stains on my brown sheets and brown clothing. I haven't used a new detergent or anything. They just keep showing up. It looks like a bleach stain, but I don't use bleach. I don't even have any in my house...if you have any suggestions, please help! Thanks

All the other radiators work fine. I tried bleeding the radiator but nothing came out. No water and no air. The shutoff valve has never been touched and is in the open position. I did try closing and reopening it. The pipe in the basement that leads over to it is getting warm. The pipes are in good shape. What could be blocking the heat?

The man who owns the house we are trying to buy works out of the country and he had the water shut off for 7 months while he was away. Can this cause any problems to the home? I don't think it does but my mom seems to think it could. Anyone have an idea?

By temporarily, I mean without having to do any invasive procedures, and I'd like to keep costs as low as possible since I'm a student. I've been researching, but there are so many methods and they all seem so expensive, so I figured I'd turn for help here, thanks in advance.

The "big pile" method does not seem to be working any more. It seems like it will be impossible to do it.

Looking for anyone who's had replacement windows installed in the last 2-3 years or so. It's not the cost I'm concerned with, though I'd love to hear your comments. I'm more interested in what you had and what you chose as the replacement, what kinds of things you considered while shopping, and now that you have your new windows, do you have any "I wish..." items - things you'd do differently?

Thanks!

It is a Whirlpool that is about 6 years old. It takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do a dry a load depending on what I'm drying. I always have to add more time even though I select the longest time 80 minutes. The vent to the back seems to be OK and when the clothes are finished drying it does seem to be hot inside.

we live in a new development and there is construction still going on in the area. Also, there is a farm across the street. With that, and the construction, our little development has developed a gopher problem. We have landscaped our backyard, but the gophers are eating all of our plants! (and putting holes in our less then 2 year old lawn) What can I replant in the spring that will look pretty but not be attractiveto the gophers? Short of firebombing our yards, there is no way to get rid of them since the farm will always be across the street. Help!!

I see that my local nursery has them in 3-4 foot size. i really like the way they look . If I plant them in a row and flatten them on top ,do they form a nice looking hedge?
How long will it take for them to grow into a 6' hedge? I am wanting to screen my neighbors.
Also another place in my yard I want to plant them in a row and grow them in their tree form to make a tall screen. Will they look good this way as well? Will they grow fast into a 10' screen?
Any tips appreciated, thanks.

Just moved into my home last may, first winter here and its quite drafty. Done what I can to help stop the drafts but was wondering if someone makes or if I could order storm windows to put on the outside of my old wood windows. Currently I have screens outside of the windows and the screens fit in by using 4 plunger style pegs to keep them in place. Do they make, or can I buy storm windows to fit in there? And what kind of cost would I be looking per storm window? My average window size is about 36in w x 65in h (my unoffical guessimate)
any info is welcomed and will be helpful.
Thanks in advance
Ryan

I want to make my own pinup board for my home office, which will be framed and covered in frontrunner material, but I cant remember the name of the fibreous material used as the pin base for them. I thought it was cainite (sic) (cane-night), but no results in my local search on yahoo for Australian suppliers. Any help appreciated.
