can anybody tell me about a good insect repellant to be used at home?

specially effective on flies? please help.

The best repellant is "GUGGUL" which is available at most
provision shops, This is to be burnt over coal in a pot.. or used as one of the ingredienrts in "samagri" while doing 'Hawan"
