It is not cabana... it is lots of plants and whicker furniture. Also usually people like to mix in some tribal masks. Is it mediteranian? It's really popular. I'm trying to describe it to my mom for her bedroom.

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs, so I need something that can handle pet hair. I also don't have a huge budget to allot to a new vacuum cleaner.

I tried nail polish remover - NOT a good idea - took the finish right off of the fixture. I tried soap and water and Softscrub - to no avail. Help!

They sit above your toilet tank, but the legs go all the way to the floor so you don't have to mount them to the wall. They're made to save room in small bathrooms. Here is a picture of one:

With the cold and below zero temps, my water pipes froze. The pipes are pvc, I have a torpedo heater that I know can unfreeze them....do I go outside, put the heater in the crawl space and just set it there and wait until they thaw out ? should I open up the water valves in the house? is there any certain way I should do this so that the pipes don't burst?

I KNOW I ASKED THIS QUESTION THE OTHER DAY!
I am looking for old circa 1900 heart pine interior trim for my home. I am looking for window trim and base boards not flooring. Flooring is the only thing I can find. I live 100 miles south of Chicago, Illinois. Can anyone tell me of some place close to me that sells reclaimed wood mouldings? I have been all over the internet with no luck.

I've got to get a really heavy freezer up the basement stairs. There will be 2, maybe 3 of us. Should we use ropes? Or use a dolly? Or a long board to try to slide it? What is the easiest and the safest way (so it doesn't fall back down on anyone)? Thanks.

I am having an outdoor party for a 13 year old girl and the theme is Hawaiian. There will be a DJ, a table with food, and a "surf hut" for lounging.

I set the dishwasher on the pots & pans setting last night about 8ish, this morning when I got up (about 8ish) it was still running. I couldn't hear any water flowing thru it...I opened it and the dishes look clean (they were too hot to touch), but I'm pretty sure that they weren't rinsed. It's making the sound like it's running, only I don't hear the whoosh of the water and when I opened the door there wasn't any water in the bottom part like there usually is....any troubleshooting or DIY repair tips?

The site is inaccesible to concrete trucks and wheelbarrowing is out as well. So which is stronger, bags or mixing it on site? I'm building a foundation (footers, actually) for a two story house. I'll put cinder blocks on top of it later. Mostly, I'm worried about strength.

I'm doing Harlequins in two different bathrooms ceiling to chair rail which is about 4'8" and 6ft long on 2 walls and 8'7" on the other walls, she wants them long and skinny. My math skills are not good, but these aren't going to come out right in the corners are they?

I have 2 specialised lights in my house that each have 20 x 20W 12V halogen bulbs in them (400W total each). They are driven off a torodial transformer mounting in the ceiling rose. I'm having difficulty finding an appropriate dimmer switch as at the moment, all I can do is turn them on and off - and hey, guess what, their way too bright! Turn both on, and 800W of light output blinds all my guests. Does anybody know of dimmer switches that can control inductive loads like this at this power rating? All the dimmer switches I've come across dont work with toroidal transformers (and at these power ratings, a very high surge current is present on start up). Thanks.

I have a rental that currently has sheet vinyl in the kitchen that is in bad shape. I am considering putting in self adhesive floor tiles over the vinyl. I have installed similar flooring in a bathroom but used inexpensive tiles. It looked good, but the tiles tended to "slide". I'm thinking it was because I used bargain tiles rather than better quality.

I just need comments as to longevity and problems you might have encoutered with self adhesive tiles. Also, do you have any particular brand or type you recommend?
