When I was about to eat dinner tonight I grabbed what I thought was a clean plate. When I looked down at the plate there were about 8 little white bugs on it (about 3mm long) they looked like maggots but they had little tiny legs. I keep my little basement apartment very clean. Needles to say I am totally grossed out and I couldn't eat dinner. What do I do?

I am looking to buy a house that has oil for the heat. The tank has been empty for a couple of months. Is this going to be a problem with it working properly once more oil is added in?

I was just wondering if I could wash my dress shirts, dress pants, and dress socks and such in my own washer.
Should I take it to the drycleaners?
or can I soak them water or something?

I have this problem only in my bathroom. My bathroom floor is a no wax vinyl flooring.I have tried white vingar, baking soda, bleach, murphy oil soap. NONE of these had removed the smell permanently and hasn't give vaguely removed the stains.

I live in Bakersfield, CA. I dont know what zone that is. I have a relatively nice small-medium size back yard... its rectangular with wooden fence panels on three sides. (my house being the 4th side). What is a good creeper/climber/vine that would cover the fence quickly, be easy to cultivate and require very little maintenance? Or rather.... for something who doesnt have green thumbs and very little landscaping knowledge.

Also would a hedge be more suitable? I want something that with spread and cover incredibly quickly.

So when I flush my toilet, after the tank fills, it keeps running. First thing i did was check the flapper - that's working fine, it seals up every time. Then I checked the floater (air-filled sphere attached to a rod that, when lifted all the way up, cuts off the water), well, when its lifted all the way up, nothing stops anymore, so I figured that was the problem, and I just started turning the water on and off each time. Well, now we get to the real problem - when i turn the water off at the wall, it doesn't stop running, just slows down a bit, but still runs continuously (so its obviously not the flapper or the floater) - how do I fix that piece if I can't turn the water off?

I have the exterior walls insulated, wired and vapour sealed. The insulation stops are in place in the rafters. I am ready to insulate and vapour the ceiling. Should i install a garage door opener before or after the ceiling is finished? Does it matter which is done first? Please help........
Oh, i also have wired the garage totally for all lights and plug ins, there are already power sources at both door opener areas.

I don't think dust can actually accumulate to an inch thick. I think that the dust would slowly settle on itself compressing into a layer of filth. Can dust actually colect to an inch thick?
