Me and my wife in an effprt to save money and reuse what we have... refinished our entertainment center in matt black with satin nickel accents....although it looks fantastic against our freshly painted butter crem yellow walls I was curious what we could put with it so we dont over do it with the black....another problem we have is ourold couches are an oxford type brown leather....needless to say my wife hates it,but we cant afford to buy new ones what can we do to defuse the clash between the black and the oxford brown. Any decorating help would be greatly appreciated since me and my wife are about to ring eachothers necks!

They are advertised at http://www.solabrite.com/. It looks like they let in light without taking up as much space as a skylight. We have a rather dark living room, and I'm considering options for increasing the light. I want something that won't leak when it rains and that won't let direct sunlight shine in (so that it won't fade the carpet, furniture, etc.). I'm open to suggestions.

I have about 3 acres of topsoiled ground to plant, It doesn't have to be perfect but I would like some nice thick hearty grass to grow. It is a sizeable investment so I want it to grow. So far I know that firm ground is the secret, I have found that letting the rain pound down the soil works pretty well to firm it up. I am in Ontario Canada (Barrie). What type of seed for growth/thickness vs. cost is recommended, where does one get a good deal on bulk, when do I plant, and is it ok to spread the seed and then sort of drag a piece of fence over the see to work it in or should I just leae it laying on top? I can not water it, I can wait until the fall if that is better than spring, I just want a good yield.

The people we bought our home from left behind a beautiful wooden floor rocking cradle. The challenge is that they did not leave the hardware, screws and connectors needed to put the thing back together. Baby is coming in 3 weeks!!! Do you have any ideas on where to buy the screws? We tried Ace, Lowe's, Home Depot and we can't find them. Maybe you do woodworking and have some idea of how we could put it together securely without having 5/16 cam connectors which I can't find anywhere on the internet either.

My hot tub builds a lot of foam up when I kick on the jets. It looks like the inside of a washing machine! Foam dissapates quickly when you shut off the jets but the mounds of foam are annoying. Anybody deal with this? TIA, HB

I have a dryer that has a built in ground. My recepticle is 4 prong. The cord on the dryer right now does not have colored wires. How do I know how to it into the new cord. It is a 220 dryer. The new cord packaging gives no indication of how to wire it.

This mower burns oil, and I think the rings are shot. I'm going to get around to getting another junk mower, but for the time being, do you think I can get by with mowing just once with no oil in the crankcase? It's a pain right now because I have to constantly clean the plug... perhaps 15 times in a single session of mowing the lawn. Do you have any ideas for a flammable lubricant I can put in there that will burn cleanly enough to not foul the plug? (I considered using 2-stroke oil or even gasoline in the crankcase.) Keep in mind that I'm not interested in any spectacular longevity... just to get me through until I can replace it.

On the second floor the heater works fine but on the first level it seems the heater is not working it gets really really cold. I tried to feel if warm air is blowing, it is blowing but too weak. I am just wondering what could be the problem. Will appreciate all the replies. Thanks.

Hi, I would like to install vinyl tiles on concrete floor using Henry 430 vinyl composition tile adhesive. The instructions say to leave it for ~90 min. until the floor feels tacky and then I have 24 hours to lay the tiles. My question is, how do I cover a large area of the floor with this adhesive and then walk on it to lay the tiles if it's going to be sticky? Please help, I'm hoping to do this tonight. Thank you.
