post your wanted vacuum needs on your wall at the local supermarket and get a expensive machine at a discount for being used and try it you can do this and save a bunch too

I would recommend Dyson. They really went all the way to design a good vacuum. I've used it for almost a year now, and I still think it's the best. The previous ones that I had, were loud, heavy, big and clumsy and doesn't really do the work effectively. I'd say invest in something that is of good quality, rather than flipping over the price tag to check the price all the time. Dyson cost around $300+ to $500+

I got a really nice Eureka bagless on Walmart.com for under $50.00. I love mine!

You may also want to look at craigslist.org under your city in the free or items for sale section.

Got the Dirt Devil at Target for my Mom, about 69 on sale, check 'em out on line. Works great, no bags, real light, but powerful.

Eureka bagless at walmart 39 bucks on sale good for for rugs and floors. I forgot the name of it its silver lightweight (7lbs) and the handle folds down .
