I know this is going to sound crazy, but I use gasoline . Just wet the corner of a rag with some gasoline and rub it. It will immediately melt the adhesive. It will not harm the floor ,as it is an oil based product. Its a little smelly at first, but the odor will dissipate, just Wash the floor when you finish. It is cheap, and it works great.
