The main ingredient of Finger nail Polish remover is acetone, I have found that pure Acetone works better than finger nail polish remover, but Methyl Ethyl Ketone works far better than acetone. Before you use any solvent to try and remove super glue from you counter, check in an inconspicuos spot to see how the surface reacts. Some countertop materials are impervious to acetone & MEK, but others will be destroyed.
If the countertop will be wrecked by the solvent, use a very sharp blade to scrape the super glue off, take light passes and only try to remove a small amount at any one time.

Test a hidden spot with nail polish. If no problem proceed to the spot. Nail polish is recommended by super glues.

Nail polish remover but do it carefully and wash off immediately. Some surfaces don't do well with remover so you could use WD 40 instead.

Razor blade. (the kind in disposable scrapers)Use it like you're trying to slice it off realy thin.
Glue remover will just mess up the finish on your counter top.
