the rooms are small. 8 x 4 feet each. Are there self enclosed units that do not require venting and or plumbing. Or, can a shaft be directed from a through the window unit to the rooms and provide sufficient air conditioning? THANKS.

Does it need to be dry cleaned or can I just throw it in washer?
Thanks

The window to my balcony faces another apt window adjacent to mine, so if I open my window/curtain the other apt can see into my room. I can't do anything to the window (apt rented), but I want to "place" something on my balcony that can obstruct the other window's view a bit. However I don't want it to be obvious that I'm trying to obstruct their view. Any tall items you can think of (please be specific) that you might "just have" on a balcony that can still help w/ my privacy? Thanks sooo much!!

Keep in mind that when I say human blood, I mean like lots of it. All over the place. I probably shouldn't go into details about how it got there, but it involved a bit of an incident with a vampire/meth abuser invading my home and abducting one of my roomates. He's fine now, but he's a bit shaken from the transfusions.

Anyway, I was wondering how one explains the bloodstains to friends and relatives as well, as from the look of things I doubt even the most skilled carpet cleanser can remove the stains. Please help!

Just curious. We will probably do it ourselves, but we have a basement that has mold and mildew on two walls and we need to grade the soil....and comments or ideas on how much it would cost them to do the waterproofing on a 1200 sq foot basement?

I have very little if any insulation in the walls of my house, and the floors are starting to feel damp or wet. My brother thinks my walls are sweating. Does this reasoning sound correct? Anything I can do to prevent this? This has just become a problem in the last week or so.

I've heard it's ok to hand wash some "dry clean only" sweaters. I have one that is cashmere and one that's merino wool. Can these be handwashed?

Each sweater cost $20 from overstock.com, so it seemed kind of silly to spend lots of $$$ on dry cleaning when the sweaters themselves were relatively cheap in price.

Thanks!
