Sometimes my showerhead will squel a high pitch noise, sometimes it starts all of a sudden and stops just as sudden and sometimes it wont do it all. I have excellent water pressure. Any suggestions?

You probably need to remove the shower head and soak the end of it in "Lime-Away" to remove the built up lime from the jets.
There is also a rubber gasket at the back of the shower head that could be cracked or broken which will allow air to get sucked into the shower head which will make a noise.
To fix that just replace the rubber gasket with a new one. You can buy them at any hardware store for less than $1.00

Good Luck

It's easiest to replace the head, but most of them have a restricter in the top that can usually be removed, The limeaway costs as much as a new head.

It's probably air in the lines. This happens from time to time. Turn on all your faucets in the house one at a time and let them run a bit till the water comes out without sputtering. That might solve your problem.

It's probably getting excited seeing your naked,,,,,.
NO, but seriously, it sounds like your shower head is getting clogged with mineral deposits and you need to soak it in some kind of lime dissolver or replace the shower head.

too much water pressure. It should be between 40 and 80 lbs. I'll bet yours is higher, and the shower head is a restriction and so it whistles.

Mine was doing kind of the same thing and the plumber told me to make sure I shut the head off first then the water - seems to be ok since I've started doing that.
