Use Spray and Wash! It's normally for stains on clothes, but it's really good at removing soap scum on glass shower doors. Do it once every week or two. I spray the whole door and then wipe it off with a soft sponge. If the door is heavily caked with soap scum, you may have to repeat this process several times. To keep ahead of the scum, dry off the shower door inside after each time you use it.

When cleaning houses for a company we used a furniture polish with lemon. It does work well. The oil helps the water bead off and the lemon cuts the white film.

I've not tried it but I was told that mentholated spirits presumably in the water dose the job

white vinegar, you will have to do it several times to get off the water spots then you need to do it every time you shower.
