We have a natural wood fireplace in our home that was built in 1965. I would like to have a fireplace insert installed. Does anyone have any advise regarding the best insert manufacturers or installation requirements to consider? Thank you!

My husband and I just moved to a really nice apartment, but we have noticed that we have roaches now. We didn't have them before and I have 2 kids to worry about. We unpacked as quick as we could and I keep a very clean house since I am a germaphobe but still, I see them. Any suggestions?

The cartridge o-ring keeps tearing because the water supply pipe it butts up against has a nick in it. What I really need to know is if the tube can be replaced. It has a hexagon inside it that makes it appear to be removable with an allen wrench. Any ideas? The alternative is to replace the whole unit and I am not into ripping walls apart.

No matter what we do, it still looks dirty. There used to be a shower cleaner called shower power, but it's unfindable around here. Something that will disinfect and bleach, leaving our shower/bath area looking clean and white.

I have looked all over the place. I need an apron to wear at home when I cook and do dishes. I am always getting stuff on my clothes. I would like one of the ones that covers the upper body and hip/thigh area. If anyone can tell me where I can find one and an estimated cost, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey fellow yahoo users!!! I need some help, I think I know how my car got that awful smell...I had taken my dirty laundry to the washer and put it in the backseat like I always do, but I had a couple of wet towels in there with the pile of dirty clothes. I guess with the heat, the smell came about, but I figured it would be gone in no time, WAS I WRONG!!!! Now my car smells even worse, as if something died in there!!! I've had my windows cracked for a couple days, I drive with my windows down, and I even bought a cucumber melon car freshener, but now it smells like cucumber melon and wet dog, even worse, I can't describe it, any ideas to get rid of it? Thanks

My little brother fell asleep playing with silly putty and now it's all over his pillowcase. I recently got a new washer, so I don't want the holes in the basket to get clogged, and I don't want to get silly putty on any other sheets in a load. Any suggestions?

Looking for a product I saw used in a house. The electrician was using a type of "flat romex", when I say flat I mean flat, this stuff could be hidden in the bevels of drywall, and was code supported and endorsed, as well as code comlpliant. I need to know the name of the product, or a website that would show this.

The tank seems to be empty. When water is needed the pump comes on for about 30 seconds and goes off when the water is turned off. I don't think the tank is holding any reserve. The tank pressure is 38 and the cut off/on is 40/60.

I am distressing steps on a staircase. I put an acrylic stain on first then sanded the edges and parts of the step itself. Next I applied an oil based stain and hand rubbed it on. (I felt that this would hold up better than glaze.) Have I messed up? I am a little concerned that it is not drying properly. It has been about 5 hours and is still a little tacky. Will it dry? I guess I will know in the morning since it is a done deal. Should I apply a sealer and what kind (after it drys)?
