My mom has had a maytag washer and dryer for like 20 some years and she has had no Problems
For my wedding present I recived a Maytag Neptune wahser and Dryer
I have been hearing things that Whirpool had to buy out Maytag and maytag had been sued becauseof quality issues
Anyone heard this??? Should I be worried about this issue?

I wouldn't worry. Maytag is still a Maytag. They are built to last.
I have the Neptune & haven't had any troubles. Works great.

I have a Maytag Neptune and it is a great machine. You can, of course, get a lemon in most anything you buy but I would not worry about something that has not happened. I think they are a great machine.
