You are on a good path. Your fav colors are opposites on the color wheel....red and green. I just did my living room with two accent colors of barn red and I have an earthy green...very soothing. To keep the room from looking like Christmas...I have buff walls and tan drapes. You really already know your taste, you sound very artistic. Why not find that just right red color or green and use your favorite things as accents to your room. Always seek that perfect red or green anywhere; in a book, a photo a print or fabric at a craft store. I have touches of art deco in my living room, because I like it. Where is your favorite place to be? Is it somewhere in nature? What mood do you feel around certain colors, a place you have been to that felt really comfortable or some other inspiration. It also just may be you have too much stuff in your room...over stimulation. If this is a bedroom, it should be restful, calming, a private place for you. Let your love of purple be reflected somewhere else...like clothes, your bathroom. Purple seems pretty harsh for a bedroom. Unless you go to a very earthy, dark (think eggplant) color. Then this could be a great background for your few selected modern artworks and other favorite things. Look for books at local library...my favorite designer from HGTV is Candice Olson...her book is Candice Olson on Design. Browse a fabric store...find a group of colors in one print that 'does it' for you. That can be a start. Happy hunting.

attempt traveling the library or bookstores(my popular) to learn the living house adorning books and magazines to get ideals. Or attempt examining the foremost colours on your needed or modern-day furniture and adorning accents consisting of lamps, photos, vases, bookshelves, and mattress covers. optimistically you will hit upon a shade which will pass with all those products. If nevertheless caught, pass to Sherwin Williams, living house Depot or Lowes or any paint supplier that has distinctive paint pattern taking part in cards, and take each and every of the paint pattern taking part in cards that seize your fancy. Take turns taping them on your wall and notice the kind you like those colorings in the time of the day and night. as quickly as you narrowed down the strategies, pass returned and notice in case you may get those pattern paints in the two or 3 ouncesjars and paint a pattern board (white poster board or white cardboard container from food market) to ensure an even bigger pattern that might assist you're making an exceedingly final decision. wish this permits....

Wow, try some puncuation and capitalization. My eyes are buggy from trying to read that. Take a pillow or something from your room that has some colors you like and take it to HD or another paint store and have them do a color match. Or check out some more paint brochures that show you a room painted in that color. Hope you can read this ok. I know it's not really your style.
