The problem is if the urine went through the carpet and into the padding, you have to replace everything. If you get the accident out quick... then you can use one of the urine neutralizer cleaners they sell at petsmart. I used to have a dog who piddled everywhere & it worked wonders.
Good luck!

even getting down on your hands and knees wont help believe me. . . . really what you need to do is purchase a irredecent light, liek a black light for pet urine. . . .they sell them at pet stores. You turn off the lights and shine that sucker everywhere, it will show you EXACTLY where the urine is. Thats the first step. Because you may not know exactly where the actual parts are with urine, i know this gross but it might actually be on parts of the walls. . .. Then you want to get a type of pet odor and stain remover carpet spray, the kind that foams up, odorless is better, because then you can tell if you actually got the urine smell up or just masked it. . .. . you spray on all the spots that you found, then you (if you can afford it) rent a rug doctor from a store, some stores like some grocery outlets let you rent a rug doctor for like a week. If not, just vacuum it up. .. the reason why i said the foam, was because they will get more of the odor causing bacteria that is trapped in your carpet then just regular sprays. . . .. the key thing here and the reason why just the scrubbing didnt help before is because you need to get it OFF of your carpet, so sucking it up is the best. You have to have some way of extracting the soap/foam/cleaner or whatever you use to get off of your carpet. Good luck! I know it seems like a dificult and long process but it will help you out!

Well, you can use febreze on the spot where the dog had an accident. You can can even try the 7 day trial, & if the smell doesn't go away, then you can return it back to the store & get your money back. To prevent it from happening you can get a diaper for dogs @ petsmarts & diaper pads.

I used a product called "zero odor" on cat pee on my carpet. It took out every bit of the smell & the stain too. I ordered it from tv, but I;m pretty sure you can get it at pet stores too. Good luck!!!
