I have looked all over the place. I need an apron to wear at home when I cook and do dishes. I am always getting stuff on my clothes. I would like one of the ones that covers the upper body and hip/thigh area. If anyone can tell me where I can find one and an estimated cost, it would be greatly appreciated.

At a restaurant supply store. Check on the web. I got mine because a waitstaff person lost it on the ground and my husband brought it home (We didn't know which restaurant it was from, there are MANY in that area, so I didn't think of it as "stealing" until just now. Anyway, I love it, have had it for 3 years, and am a very messy cook, and love to cook. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for. (try calling you favorite neighborhood restaurant, too they must know, or maybe they'll even give one to you if they know you well, (and like you! How big a tip do you usually leave?!!) Just joking, but I do love that apron. wish I had more. maybe I'll check this out myself, too. Good Luck.

Aprons:
Walmart, Kmart, Macy's, Linen n' things, Bed bath & Beyond.

Any place that caters to food preparatory supplies, such as pots, pans, dishes. etc., should have an apron.

You can find a variety of aprons that fit your style at http://www.aprons.com/. Denim is a comfortable fabric and it really holds up, (http://www.aprons.com/Manhattan-Bib-Apron_p_114.html). They also have half bistro aprons depending on the style you like.

if you can get to a "sam's" club...i just got a pack of 3 for under $15. if you can't get there...wal-mart, bed bath , and beyond, michaels crafts, and maybe big lots (they have had them in the past, but not always)

if you don't have alot of $$, or time, go to a "thrift" store, get a really BIG mans t-shirt, cut around the back of the collar, and the sleeves off. leave strips from the back, and sides to use as ties.
