Bring the heat up and turn on all fans. Usually carpets will be dry 24 hrs from start of wet cleaning max. Do not track dirt on carpet while still damp. Use quality counteractant to kill odors next time. The hardest part of a carpet cleaning is enduring the dry time.

You should go to Home depot or rental supply and rent an air mover. Put the air mover under a corner of the damaged rooms carpet. The carpet and pad will be dry in couple hours.

Check the rug and see if you find any damp spots, if so use take paper towel and put it over it and step on it to remove the water. Open up your windows and let the air circulate in the room. When you are finished sprinkle Baking Soda on the rug leave for 20 Min's and then vacuum. If its not any better, put a few small bowls of vinegar in different parts of the room before going to bed. and see if that will help.

It just takes time for carpets to dry. If you have ceiling fans turn them on. If you have portable fans put those around, too. Just have patience.

turn up the heat, have a beer, AND CHILL, IT WILL DRY IN THE MORNING. IF NOT, CLEAN IT AGAIN, BUT DON'T USE ANY WATER.
