Looking for a product I saw used in a house. The electrician was using a type of "flat romex", when I say flat I mean flat, this stuff could be hidden in the bevels of drywall, and was code supported and endorsed, as well as code comlpliant. I need to know the name of the product, or a website that would show this.

Category: DeCord is a 110/220 VAC electrical wire that comes in 14, 16, and 18 gauge equivalences.

Features: DeCord is 15- or 20-amp rated, 8 mils thin (about the thickness of a business card), highly flexible (for making turns), and has a paintable/wall-paperable surface.

Benefits: DeCord replaces cumbersome, unsightly, and unsafe extension cords with location specific outlets. DeCord provides a low-cost, safe alternative to an expensive rewiring job for getting electricity to wall and ceiling locations (fans, ceiling/wall/art lighting, sconces, etc.). DeCord permits plugs to be clustered where required for equipment needs. DeCord allows for safe, exact location for installation of A/C plugs for appropriate applications

This is a good way to get a quick fix.

There are versions for every wire. But I don't think there will be a flat wire replacement soon for fiber. That has to installed with a wide curve to do an angle turn. I mention fiber because we'll all be wrestling with that cable someday soon.
