No, you can turn them off, unplug them, and leave them stand for extended periods of time and they will stay OK.
Leave them empty and leave the door(s) ajar so that air can circulate inside them.

No. However, you still need to take care of it especially if you won't be using it for a month or more.
You should totally clean out the refrigerator and make sure it is free of any stains or spots. (You don't want to grow anything in there, do you?)
Next, you must be sure that the place you store it will not experience any extremes of temperature, such as one below 15F or one above 110F. This will ensure that the refrigerant is kept in premium condition.
You also must make a note to run the refrigerator an hour or so every few months, again, to keep the refrigerant stabilized , if you plan to store it for 6 months or more.

No -- nothing will happen , but I would operate the compressor for a few mins. -- a couple times per year -- to keep internal parts from seizing >>sitting too long. Clean out the inside with hot bleach water and soap --- let dry good -- leave a small air gap in the doors.

no. leave the doors open a bit to lessen the chance of mold growing.
If you turn a fridge up side down or on it's side or back, you would have to wait for 24 hours or longer to wait for the oil to resettle back into the compressor before turning it on. if you didn't wait, you could lock up the compressor and ruin it.

Nope, won't hurt at all, tho if stored for awhile you might want to put in an open box of baking soda to absorb any odors.
