My quilt is basically just a padding sandwich. It's only around 20 years old, and it is a little worn, but will it really hurt it to use machines to wash and dry it?

So what was used before oxy-clean for blood stains? what is used for grass stains? These are 2 normal household products that are super cheap.
Yea, I am wasting a question, but I do not see that everyone buy something that cost more that takes out the same.

I have brought a small 1 ft tall fir tree from forest and i have planted it in a 12 inch pot in the summer. It is doing fine now, I water and fertilize it regularly and keep it in a well lighted, warm room.

The tree does not have a good shape to it now,

How do start pruning the tree to hel it grow fuller and how do I make it grow in the tradidional cone-shape?

(I want to keep it in a pot, so I don't want it big...more like a mini-christams tree)

Hello people, my 6 year old refigerator stopped running this morning. It's no longer cold. All the frosts melted in the freezer compartment. I don't hear any noise coming from it. What could be the possible cause? and how may I fix it in a cheap way ?

this would be more a more convenient place than where the current one is now. I know the height between the floor and ceiling is 8 feet but I do not know how much is between the ceiling downstairs and the floor upstairs. Is there a standard way I can calculate the amount of room I will need to build the staircase?

I am planning on planting a large vegetable garden in the spring, but our place is covered in Bermuda grass. Is there any way to get rid of it organically? Will plowing and discing do the job? Or do I just have to resign myself to constant hoeing?

I don't think I'm asking that question correctly. Basically, I'm building a shower window from 8X8 glass block. It will be built within a frame build of 2X4s, very standard. But when I add the width of a 2X4 (it's actually 3.75" or so) plus the width of the durarock on the inside and 7/16's OSB on the outside.... Well, I guess I'm just trying to figure out how to make it look 'right'. I guess the window thickness will be slightly less than the wall thickness. How do I finish that? Aluminum flashing or something?

I have to replace my exterior door - all of it - sidelights, door, casings, threshold, etc. Which type is better? If it's any help, I live in the Atlanta area... I will be putting up a white unit with a black storm door (to compliment black shutters). I have someone that will put it in for $250, provided the wood frame isn't rotted... I'm ordering it from Lowe's. Thanks!
