Have an older lovely gate-leg table ... the leg portion is in beautiful condition, while the table-top is a mess. I decided to be proactive and refinish it... but I just can't get it looking right. Anyone know about what a reasonable quote would be to have someone professionally fix my mistake? The table is oval, and would seat six if all the way open.. and is is acceptable to ask for references in this kind of business?

A few years ago a company came out and cleaned my deck. They sprayed down something (not bleach) and washed it with low pressure. The results were so dramatic but it looked simple enough. I want to restain my deck as it looks tired and worn. Any ideas what to use on it to clean it?

I remember my granny having one and somehow have the impression that they were a kind of classic thing you'd see back in the sixties in people's living rooms - like, say, flying ducks? Point is, I'm trying to get my hands on one but a) can't remember what exactly the pose was and b) whether I just imagined it!

So: were they like the 'flying ducks' of Irish working class homes, or am I talking sh*te? Cheers!

Two motion sensors were disconnected by accident. How do i re wire and reset the alarm? I have determined the permanent live and earth ( red & black) also determined two other wires(green & yellow) which have current(slightly lower than red wire). Blue & white wires have no input current. On the main box, blue & yellow are wired to the terminal blocks together(one in each screw point).Green & white are also wired in together.
Coming off the sensors are black, red, yellow & blue.Rewired how i thought would go, does the box just need resetting? Can anyone help, much appreciated. Codes from alarm display show CE232323 CE33172

For me it was learnig by experience how to prepare and print a double sided small card of specific text, using printer and card making software.
It took lots of mistakes and hours of time, but I learnt a lot from the experience.

Hi, I've just installed condensing boiler (120,000BTU) and the radiator BTU is 55,000 (all radiators). Is this much BTU enough for 7 radiators? Is so then I am having some dificulty in finding the fault. Some radiators after being hot, turn cold even if the heating is on. I have tried to temper with the pressure - NO LUCK. If anyone can please kindly advice I would be grateful. Thanks.

My mother has an absolute fear about too many people in her house at one time. Here are specifics of her home. Can anyone tell me what should be a safe amount of people in her house at one time. With Thanksgiving approaching she is already panicked. We are expecting about 24 people for dinner.
What is a normal "people load" for a house with the below specifics:

Tudor home 1.5 Story (Brick Exterior)
Built in 1943
Lot dimensions: 25 x 125
Dimensions of the rooms on the main floor are as follows:
Living room = 12 x 30
Dining room = 12 x 12
Kitchen = 10 x 13
Family Room = 14 x 11
Bedroom 1 = 10 x 13
Bedroom 2 = 10 x 12

I know that you can't speak to the soundness of this specific home, BUT if you can just give us some typical guidelines that might apply, we would all be forever grateful...(all 24 of us).
Very best regards, Rdhead500

I'm getting ready to mount street-address numerals on the outside of my house, which has stucco siding. The house is in Santa Clara county in the San Francisco Bay Area of CA and was built in 1986. If I use screws to mount something on an exterior wall, is there anything special I should do to weather-proof it?
